Log cabins in Wales are proving to be a very popular type of accommodation – they’re warm and cosy providing all that you need whatever the weather. If you want mixture of city and scenery then look to the south of Wales where you can stay in a log cabin in the countryside but is only a short drive from Cardiff. Cardiff has a wealth of attractions and from sporting (the Millennium Stadium) to cultural delights such as castles and historic sites. With over 350 restaurants bars and clubs you also won’t be spoilt for choice if you decide to stay the evening. You don’t have to be far from Cardiff to enjoy the wildlife that Wales has to offer.
If you are trying to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and want a country side retreat where you can spend some time in the mountains then look not further than North Wales. The Snowdonia National Park – situated in North Wales – is home to Snowdon – 3650ft of mountain which is the largest mountain in Wales. Pick a clear day and scale Snowdon and you will enjoy unspoilt views of the Snowdonia National Park. If mountain climbing isn’t your thing though there are plenty of gently walks to enjoy where you can absorb the rugged beauty of north Wales.
For the Wildlife lover log cabin holidays in Wales are ideal. Stay in mid Wales and you could visit the Red Kite centre in Argaty, this centre has successfully reintroduced Red Kites back in to Wales and feeds them on a daily basis when you can enjoy watching these wild birds of prey feed.
For adrenalin junkies there are numerous sports centres in Wales that offer a host of activities from climbing and abseiling to gorge walking and canoeing. For keen mountain bikers you will also find a couple of Mountain bike trails where you can be assured of no pedestrians to ‘interact” with!
